Laikae sniffed the air. Cool, crisp, chilling. A classic winter afternoon. She had woken to the cold she was beginning to despise, and padded sleepily over to the sleeping place of another pup around her own age; Kolulu. She was, after all, cold, bored, and starved for adventure, and with the gods fighting amongst each other, it wasn't too hard to find. If you knew where to look. And pure ones like Kolulu and Laikae were almost prone to it.

Laikae shook herself, trying to shake off the lasts bits of sleep that clung to her eyes like an unwanted blanket, and walked over to Kolulu. "Awaken," she barked quietly and briskly, "Adventure awaits us. Let's get a move on before someone wakes up and tells us to do something boring." Laikae shook Kolulu's pelt, making sure she was up; even though she might have been before Laikae had spoken, she didn't bother to care; and walked away, expecting the one she had just shaken and barked at to catch up. She was being impudent and unfair to the person she wanted as an 'adventure companion,' which Laikae didn't normally do. It wasn't her style to be so direct, and Kolulu deserved respect.

After a few dozens of feet of padding, usure if she was being followed or not, she paused to look back; another thing she didn't do. Ever. The world was acting strange today. A fast-talking-fast-walking pup slowing down for another who was perfectly capable of catching up...acting disrespectful to the same pup, who deserved repsect. Yes, the world was acting strange today.

As if...something was about to happen.

To her dismay, it was a sinkhole, and the more she struggled, the deeper she was sucked in. "Well, Kolulu, what a fight you've put up, huh? Gee, and here I was thinking you were all strong and stuff. Keh! Guess it's just an act. Geez, you weakling, put some backbone into it. Yeah! That's right. ....Oh for the gods' sake!" A neck reached down and grabbed her scruff, hauling her back onto dry land. "Thank you, very much..I guess --what is your name? And why can't I see you? "Friggin stupid head, it's all in your mind, your pitiful useless mind. Though because you are...." the fae trailed off a bit "Well, let's say I have to protect you --'cause you're doing me a favor that's all. Eh! But you may have wished you never even had gotten my help, you spineless fool." The voice, along with the ghostly presence of the pup's body disappeared, startling Kolulu out of her sleep. A thin coat of sweat dribbled down her forehead, and she shook it off quickly. It was just a dream, it was just a dream! Besides, why should she be so scared about a stupid little dream? A voice startled her out of her thoughts "Awaken," what was she, a demon called from the dead? "Adventure awaits us. Let's get a move on before someone wakes up and tells us to do something boring." She sighed, Laikae was so bossy sometimes --who was she to boss her around like she was her pet? Oh well. Keh. She sniffed, as the words registered in her mind. An adventure? Yes, you dumbass Hmm, that sounded like fun! She laughed suddenly, a hundred soft bells breaking through the night. What an odd way to say it. It sounded like she was speaking another language. 'Adventure awaits us!' She figured she might as well play along too. "Alas, let it be so, dear friend Laikae. For..for, um, thou twast not be wasted on such a....precious era?" Oops, big fail there. You got that right, sister. Kolulu stepped out into the night. The air was cold, and mist drifted silently high above her. She shivered --something didn't seem right. It gave her the creeps. She sighed, involuntarily, and quickly cut off, looking around --would anyone follow them? What was this eerie feeling she had about this place? Huh? What was that? Was it a ghost? In your dreams. No. It was just the fog. She silently padded after her friend, her heart racing. She still couldn't explain it, what was there to be afraid of? She certainly couldn't smell anything. Her paws moved her along as she noticed that she was falling behind. Uh-oh, Laikae certainly would not have any patience for that! Paws slapping the sandy earth, she caught up to her friend, so many things on her mind. "Laikae, doesn't something feel...out of place to you?"Course it does, sweetie, and it always will, once you got me hanging around. Comment;; Lu is still not aware of Romy.

Acadia stifled a yawn as she stood up from where she was curled up into a ball, it was fairly cold out but she didn't mind it. In fact, she usually enjoyed the cold. Studying her surroundings she became curious, she wanted to explore, but since she had yet to meet a lot of the other pups she figured she would most likely end up alone on her adventure of the day. Shaking out her coat she let the thoughts slip, she wasn't known for being quiet but for some reason today she actually preferred being alone, after her father's recent death she had started to become slightly quieter. Taking a step forward with confidence she started to stretch out her muscles, in the distance she couldn't help but notice a couple other pups that were headed somewhere, her question was: Where? Curiosity getting the best of her she started forward at a quick pace but soon slowed down, staying far enough behind so that they wouldn't start to think she was following them. Cocking her head slightly she studied their appearances, they both looked slightly younger then herself. As her paws padded faster across the ground she ran up to the two, her somewhat quiet behavior now worn off, she figured it was probably just because she was tried from the lack of sleep. Once only a few feet behind them she opened her mouth to speak. ”Ehem, and where shall you two be off to?” she asked curiously, but the question wasn’t exactly has friendly sounding as she had planned it to be and she mentally smacked herself for it. Eventually, (and by eventually, she means about a second,) Laikae decided on a random location. "We, if you really need to know, are taking a trip out of here for a bit," Laikae briskly stated to the intruding wolfe, "Chaos Chasm. Figure something with a name like that should have something good to offer. Anything else you want?" Laikae scowled at the offending wolfe, then an idea popped into her head. "Unless, of course, you want to join us...hm?" Laikae stared deeply into the other wolfe's eyes, she believed her name was Acadia, searching for an answer before Acadia could say it aloud. Her inner mind was slightly annoyed at another person adding to her and Kolulu's 'group,' thinking Why should we be sharing any adventures with anyone else? Two is enough. However, the entirety of the rest of her brain was amused by the thought of a companion for their adventure. Another one, hm? Interesting, interesting. Less danger, but at the same time, more. Interesting indeed. Laikae switched her gaze to the road ahead, and her expression turned to one of wonder. What could possibly go wrong?
