Etska OF THE GREAT VAGABOND PACK
••lifes like rowing in a glass boat youre a devil in a fur coat•• Age Seven Years. Gender Female Purity Pure. Rank Loner. Power Enhanced Hearing.
GOT A SILVER PELT AND SOME AMBER EYES
••like you think i dont know what youre trying not to show•• Scars Some pretty brutal teeth marks on her paws. read history to see why. Disabilities/Deformities No Claws on Forepaws. Appearance
With a sturdy body and long legs she has much in common with that of the timber wolf although her head isn’t as broad as her ancestors. Her snout is short but broad leading up towards slanted amber eyes shaded with black and surrounded by a light creamy colored silver. Her ears are also relatively short with softened round edges, light in the lining but the same silver-grey peltage as the rest of her coat. Running from her nape to the tip of her tail is a dark grey dorsal stripe which is predominant against her mostly-grey figure. Her tail is narrow and bristled with a thick layer of hair of light grey and dark grey - not unlike the rest of her body but the majority of it is the same hue as her underbelly and legs which are of similar color to the creamy coat on her muzzle. Of her features, her feet is probably the first thing you would look at as they are gnarled and chewed without any trace of claws as they have never grew back since they were sacrificed. Over time the creamy fuzz has covered them but the scars have never faded.
CAUSE I'M FILTHY AND I'M GORGEOUS!
••beauty aint just skin deep horrors lie dont cry dont weep•• Personality
Fair But Thorough;; From life as an alpha pup her father always instilled in her the morals that helped generations of wolfe before her grow into fine specimen of her kind. Amongst these attributes he insisted that however dire the situation she must look at all reasons before making her final judgement - and stick to it. The Gods gave them instincts as a gift and they are not made to be abused. At times this can make her seem a little cold and uncaring but in reality she’s just tracing the facts before bringing them to court.
Persistent and Nosey;; Her persistence in unnerving. Once on the trail she will battle the colds of the ice rivers to get to the source especially if for a justified cause. With patience and perseverance she will gladly wait for the right time when the stars are in her favor before making any rash decisions or quizzing a fellow wolfe on anything. Yes, these trait’s are very useful with her curious nature and can become quite tiresome to those she follows.
Truthful and Liar;; This makes no sense whatsoever unless you know her well, her oath with the Gods forbid her to lie to her fellow kind yet ‘bending the truth’ is not exactly ruled out and is also known as a white lie. If confronted with something she does not want to answer she will reply truthfully but in riddles - either that or she doesn’t answer at all. She may not deny something if asked directly of her.
Practical and Logical;; Since the illness and the birth of her pups, she knows for a fact when you have to cut your loss and leave. A mother wolfe will gladly defend her litter against an attack, laying her life on the line for her pups but if put in the situation if it was one pup or her life in danger - she would pick herself. After all, who would look after the other pups or tell the sad tale of the young pup put against a great predator? She thinks with her mind and not with her heart which has led to much heartache over the years. She often prays to the Gods to end this feeling but they have not answered her pleas.
Haughty and Defensive;; Females. The best words to describe them! She is quite easily offended by anything that doesn’t show her the right respect but unlike males we girls have a better way of dealing with his. Snide remarks, bitching and belittling is just a few of the tactics commonly used by Etska when in a mood. Don’t feel privileged that she is touched enough by your impudence that she cares to return comment - just feel happy that she’s not tearing your throat out. Warning, there is not much warning when she decided to snap.
Brooding and Broody;; She mourns for the life of her kin. She worries for her pups and their family and hears the grievances of those around her well enough that it’s near impossible to ignore. The species as a whole is very sensitive to the needs of the pack and if one wolfe is unhappy then the rest comfort her. Without a pack to comfort her, she is left to deal with these worries on her own. On the occasion when she is at her worst points she will search for something to fill the void - a lone pup perhaps but none are to be found in her home.

Secret Ambitions
AND MY PARENTS ARE NORSE AND TOMALIA
••theres a time where its all right build a club and dance all night•• Family Nigo, Are, Niel - all brothers. Regrets Leaving her Brothers. History
It was a great time for the wolfe as the great Godesses of the Sun and Moon were at a truce when she was brought into the world. The night was kind and full of prey, she and her nestmates were never without a full belly of milk and their mother watched over them peacefully. As the young pups grew restless in the den, she explained to them the old tales of the heavens and of their patron Lunae who was both wise and beautiful in her form and of her sister who was ruthless and arrogant as the mirror Lunae looked into. These times were great but with the changing of the times the mortal wolfe became aware of the changing within the pack. It was dreadful the day that the priest appeared to her dam and told her of an oncoming war between the two goddesses for the sake of an immortal heart. Having felt the wrath of the gods in the past, she left her den to plead with them to change their thought. She was gone until the next full moon when she returned… skinny and eyes like the dead she looked at her mate and asked; “Who are you?”
Mourning the loss of their then-Alphess the pack was worried that she had offended the Heavens in some way and it would affect the pack though their ways meant she was not to be turned away in her madness and they continued to care for her and bring her food - eventually she forgot what food was and how to eat. In this mind she was sure that the pack were holding her captive and became increasingly ill with hunger and fatigue. As is custom, her pups were allowed to see her only while she was sleeping as it would have angered her souls if confronted by ‘ghosts’. On their seven-month birth date she fell asleep and went to run with Lunae. Are, Nigo, Estka and Niel were put under the watch of their father who too was showing uncharacteristic tendencies. Of course, it started with forgetting where he left the kill to eventually forgetting the names of his beloved children and although he was powerful in his prime he too withered away to a shadow of his former glory. Worrying that this may be a sign he was put in to lay with the priest for his remaining days though the illness seemed to act slower now.
Eetska was the only female of the litter but not of the first litter. From there, her elder sister took ranks as the next female to look after her pups and raised the growing pup to adulthood though her true passion was not for motherhood but for her faith. Not a moon after Estka’s leaving she mated with the priest and began her training. Etska on the other hand had seen her sire and dams decent into madness and feared for her soul withering away like the unspoken members of her pack who disappeared. At two years old she headed out for her initiation as a hunter. After completing the week she returned to her pack only to be greeted by far fewer faces than she had seen when she had left - this sealed it, she left only telling her closets brother Are that she was leaving. He did not plead for her to stay but instead encouraged her to lead her life away from the heart-sickness. She left with a fresh perspective and headed towards the Domain.
Once there, without an offering she tired easily and felt the insult of the Gods eyes. Fearing her life and faith would be at risk if she did not offer she laid down on the earth and chewed at her claws until they were bloodied and claw-less. To bury them was painful but with suck a huge asking of the heavens she was sure that they would look mercifully down on the young wolf and let her seek shelter. The spring came quickly after this and she remained in the sacred land - leaving only to hunt outwith the boundaries for sacrifice and for food. She lived a fairy uneventful life of servitude but her mind-soul remained intact. In this time, she met another Vagabond named Ares who reminded her dreadfully of her younger brother. He would show up occasionally and woo her with his beautiful white coat and charming nature then disappear into the night only to reappear several moons later with little explanation. Having fallen pregnant with his young she was sure this time he would stay but the sorrowful look on his face told him otherwise - he then came clean that he could not remember going away and only brief flashes of memory and habit drew him back here. He was sick.
For the sake of his family he opted to stay at the den to raise the pups but it wasn’t long before he started forgetting to feed them and small things. He left when they were but two weeks old. After that she struggled to look after them but with the great guidance of her patron she was sure they would be fine. Many happy months passed and her pups grew strong and eventually parted ways - bet you were surprised there was a happy ending? Hah. Well, it was about as happy as it could get as all the pups wandered away just as their father had leaving Etska on her own. Her heart yearned for her young but she had to face the facts that it was highly unlikely that anything other than a mated priest would ever enter the domain so she set out looking for company in the surrounding area which is where she is today.

The night had weighed greatly on him. With each steady breeze a drift of air heavily laden with the scent of other dogs that were not his own brought possible disasters for this young pack. Even as the number of canines in the area had boomed over the last few years it was always going to come down to the top dog in each of the rightful provinces and each Alpha had the threat of an attack from another pack looming over them like a terminal illness - either you fight it until the end or lose it altogether. He feared for his young Alpha. She was brave, wise and strong and had more noble qualities than he had seen in his lifetime yet she was young and physical strength often overpowered even the greatest of minds like this night for example - the loners were closing in. Being the brawn of the pack he was expected to keep watch as well as give the Alpha the right guidance but lately it was proving difficult to do it at the same time. The warriors were brave but restless as the neutral alliance didn’t shift as often as they liked. What they didn’t understand was that this fight was not one of territory but a fight for ones survival.
By the time he was within pack borders his paws were throbbing with the constant bleeding as even with feet hardened from a life on the streets they had become much more accustomed to the soft ground around the Ophir terrain than that of the harsh tarmac and woods of the outskirts. He would not complain. The sun was quickly rising coating his home with a soft ember glow, welcoming him into its paws and towards the soft nuzzling and companionship his pack had to offer - not something he was quite used to yet as his life before with the brutal Tirzo pack who’s only interest in him was to bring the blood back to their hungry maws at the end of the day. At roughly the size of a small Great Dane he was not somebody that could easily be missed at even a distance with his long legs and soft tan and black coat muddied by his travels many packs assumed him to be of the lesser role of Warrior… which was fine by him, recognizing his pack status brought him more trouble than anything else and at least if he was a warrior then they would expect him to be hardier and more brutal than a humble Beta.
The large brute fumbled awkwardly down a slope pausing momentarily to sniff and mark a small vine that had become polluted by the scent of fox then carried on hi way. The territory was not a huge one but it would be darn near impossible to cross from one end of the territory to the next in daylight which made it all the more urgent that he got himself to the headquarters as quickly as possible to report then lie down for some well-earned slumber. At the bottom of the slope he came to an abrupt halt as the hand straightened out and water lapped at the sandy beach at his paws. He growled in annoyance at the sharp grains scratching at his feet and taunting his wounds but the sound of the soft rippling lake soothed his annoyance a little as he dropped his muzzle to the floor and sniffed. All he could really smell here was algae and freshwater but in the distance there was the distinct scent of a friend of his. Without a further moment of hesitation his long legs carried him swiftly towards the boathouse where he was unseen by the glowing femora.
Maverick was a beautiful creature to behold on any day however the lush dawn accented her beauty further even to go as far as calling her breathtaking. Her soft amber coat shone healthily like the sun itself, her thoughtful stance gave her years of knowledge and understanding despite her age and the light arch of her back proved to any insightful eye that she was lean and quick on her feet. Even at nearly half of his size, she seemed to tower over him in this light. His paws made not a sound against the sand as he approached, regretful that he would intrude her thoughts but privileged to see her in this light. A low gruff escaped him to alert her of his arrival and lowering his head but keeping his tail straight he recognized his superior but reached out his muzzle in greeting, hoping for a nuzzle or a lick to recognize him as a friend.
“Aye, you scrub up good in this light Miss. Thinking of anything’ in particular?” He asked offering her a smile
