GUIDE
ALPHA [1/1]
The Alpha pair the leaders of the pack. The Alpha is the leading male whilst the Alphess is his mate. The alpha speaks for the pack and the pack depends on the alpha to make important decisions and verdicts. The alpha should be an example for the pack, and the alpha¡¯s orders should be obeyed at all times no matter what. He should never be challenged, else the challenger will immediately be exiled.
The Heir is the Alpha's first born son whom will lead the pack when the Alpha dies.
BETA [1/2]
Aside from being second-in-command to the alpha, the betas are the overseers of the pack. They look out for pack members on a more personal level. They will work among the regular members and will be open to concerns. It is their job to make sure everything is running smoothly. Similarly, problems that cannot be resolved between members may be mediated by the betas. If the Alpha is harmed or unable to fulfill his duties as leader and the Heir is of age, the Beta will take over.
GUARDIANS [1/10]
Guardians are the packs' protectors. It is their job to make sure the borders are safe and that no malicious trespassers are in pack lands. There is only one Head Guardian whom is responsible for leading the patrols. However, if the pack grows, one more Head Guardian may be appointed.
HUNTERS [1/10]
Hunters are responsible to finding food and killing it for their pack. They are usually quick and intelligent and must be able to strategize and work in a group. These wolves may not necessarily be the brawniest of the bunch, but they are clever and have high stamina. Hunters are highly prized and recognized, as it is them who ensure the survival of the pack. Like the Guardians, there is one wolf that is known as Lead Hunter. There may be one more if the pack grows large enough to need one.
ASSASSINS [1/3]
Assassins have, without a doubt, the most dangerous job in the pack. They take their orders directly from Ephraim. Their job is to seek out and eliminate threats to the pack according to the Alpha's will; especially in times of war. Assassins are also sometimes selected to accompany the Alpha at certain times if he is to go on a journey. Assassins must be skilled in offensive and defensive combat, as well as stealth. They must be fast, strong, and smart. In relaxed times, Assassins often aid the pack with the duties of a Guardian or Hunter. There is only one Head Assassin, whom is to watch over the Alpha pair at all times; he/she is basically their bodyguard and confidant.
HEALERS [0/2]
The Healer ranking is the third highest ranking level in the pack. This wolf is the one who heals the wounded or sickly. They have vast knowledge of herbs and how they are are used. Sometimes packs are known to have two Healers, one female and one male because they have complaints of being uncomfortable with a wolf of a different gender treating them of sensitive things. At a older age, near becoming an Elder, they start to train a younger wolf the ways of being a Healer to take over when they die. Usually, a Healer is an old wolf. However, there have been some young Healers in the past.
PUPS [0/15]
These are the offspring of the members of the pack, and are the most valued of all. These are the future of the pack and are treated as if they were gods. They are always given the highest care, the first food, etc. Pregnant she-wolves are basically treated the same. They are always being tended to and being fed first. The pups remain under the mothers care for the first few weeks, and after that all members off the pack contribute to the raising of these pups. Training them and teaching them legend and lore are common jobs that the Elders do to help the raising of these offspring.
ELDERS [0/5]
These are the old, retired members of the pack. They are treated just as well as cubs; symbolizing wisdom. They are often the ones who teach cubs lore and legend, telling them stories any time they get the chance.
OMEGA [0/10]
Omegas are the lowest ranking wolves. The reasons they are so low in rank varies. Not as much is expected out of an omega, and in turn not as much is given to an omega. Omega is typically a temporary rank, although some wolves choose to remain as one forever.
